Where is the Shadows of Esteren RPG love

I can not believe that this RPG is getting so little attention...least here. It even got many praises at GenCon for goodness sake! The game is loosely based in early medieval Europe where life is tough and magic is rare. But dangers are ever where. There are no orcs (nor half breed orcs), elves, halflings and Dwarves:D That all adds to the mystic of this wonderful game. What makes 13th Age and Numenare stand out more so than Shadows of Esteren? http://www.esteren.org/shadows_of_esteren/ http://images.search.yahoo.com/imag...i=13qlsn80f&.crumb=kv.LE92J/P4&fr=slv8-ydwnld http://www.amazon.com/Shadows-Ester...1379201230&sr=8-1&keywords=shadows+of+esteren

I think that both 13th Age and Numenera both still have the Shiny Glow Of Newness about them, so people are wont to talk about them a lot. Shadows of Esteren has had one year to wear it off, so now has the Dull Glint of Last Year.

It also helps that both 13th Age and Numenera have close links to DND.

@Morrus beat me to the "the ENnies" comment.

Can't say much as I haven't played. With 13th Age and Numenera out, Shadows of Esteren might be in the "soon" pile. Plus, the first book was good but the game was lacking a Bestiary to really be playable. With Book 2 out soon, it should be easier to actual play.
Plus anyone who got the books from the second Kickstarter following the results of the first won't see their books for a good month. I've been skimming the PDF but really want to enjoy the actual book.

Glad I had a chance to support the second KS. Saw the books at GenCon 2012 late on the Saturday, when I was already broke. One of my few regrets of the con was not getting a copy. It's was a beautiful book.

Hey, with Shadowrun's "Spotlight" time ended, maybe Shadows of Esteren could be the October game of the month. It is a horror game, which fits October.
