Where ought I post this?

The new store makes it easier than ever to give freebies to EN World posters. At some point I want to post a thread with something like, "Amuse me, and name an E.N. Publishing product. I will pick three people who amuse me in the next day and will send them a complimentary copy of their chosen book."

The actual topic of amusement would be something more specific, of course, perhaps tied with upcoming products, to help marketing and such. I just don't know where it would be appropriate to post such a thread -- E.N. Pub's forum? Publishers? Meta? General?

I'd like to put it in General since it'd get the most traffic, but it seems a bit too shamelessly cheesy. What do you think is appropriate? Is giving away free stuff apropos in the general forum?

It is where I have seen publishers give away stuff before. I don't see why not - you want to reach a bunch of people, general has the most traffic and it the topic isn't specific enough for another forum. General Discussion seems like the ideal place to me and I would wonder why if it wasn't.

Agreed. I have seen several give-aways in General. The most recent being TheLe's "What Don't You Know" quiz thread, which manages to be fun without reading like a big advert.
