You're right about the shadow vs deep dragon. Boy, those pictures are similar! See, I thought the ESD agreement might require use of the d20STL, which has of course been revoked. I've "published" a couple of PDFs of conversions using the OGL (and not the d20STL), but I've sometimes wondered if I messed things up (and am just under WotC's radar). The CC, I believe, had a separate agreement with WotC, but I suspect our out-of-date OGL is supposed to be updated. Another legal issue is that we've taken to putting in "In the Realms," "In Spelljammer," "In Mystara," etc, sections of setting-specific monsters. And using subtypes that were never in the SRD (such as obyrith, spirit, etc). Without an agreement from WotC, we'd probably have to take those out for any official OGL publication. Then again, maybe it would be under the radar, like the CC itself may be. It would be good to have a forum mod to post the conversions (in-progress and final drafts) to the stickied and locked threads in the homebrews forum, so we can find them later. And, I imagine, just to handle odd tasks that come up. But I think updating the CC database is an important thing to do, and it would be good to get that caught up some. There were some database problems a while ago (about a year, maybe), so it's quite far behind. And I'll probably try to take a look at some conversions again tomorrow. It's going to be sad and difficult, but I think it'll help too somehow.
