Where to get individual D&D minis?

I think the subject pretty much says it all.

Where, online, can you get a good deal on individual minis? I've got a little extra Christmas cash, but I don't want to buy 12 blister packs in hopes of getting 8 goblins. :(

Thanks

eBay. There are plenty of individual figures (common, uncommon & rare) for sale starting as low as a penny but the shipping is a dollar or more, so it's really up to you if they are a good deal.

Besides, for a massive amount of NPC baddies I just use counters and throw in the figures for the stand-out leaders.

some FLGS have them for individual sale.

ebay is another choice.

there are also various swap threads around. try the minis forum here. or fun & games on nutkinland.

I got about 9 of the little boogers, if you have any kobolds to trade that would be fine.

I bought a bunch from www.popularcollections.com. Although a couple of them got back-ordered for about a week, I got everything else quickly and in great shape. They even added a few gnolls according to a note I added to the order (gnolls were out-of-stock at the time I made the order, and their ordering system doesn't let you add items that they don't have, so I asked to have them added if they were stocked before the order shipped).

Rares are really pricy, ranging from $6.49 for a shambling mound to $14.99 for a displacer beast, but most common/uncommon cost between $0.25 and $1.99, maxing out at at $2.99 for gnolls. Shipping is a bit high, but if you're mostly interested in common/uncommons and buy a bunch you can end up paying about $1/mini.

If you go to the Marketplace forum (it's right below the novel/t.v./movies forum, but right above the Meta forum), it's been expanded to include Mini swapping.

At www.frpgames.com they have a list of the minis they have availible, the rarity and I believe the statistics that accompany said miniature. They're a little understocked right now (except for the most common commons). These folks have great customer service and have fairly decent prices.

PopularCollections.com lists rare/uncommon/common, but you don't see whether or not they have any until you try to add it to your cart.

FRPGames.com lists rare/uncommon/common, and shows how many they have (search for "harbinger" to get the complete listing).

I've also used FRPGames in the past, and would recommend them. I only tried PopularCollections because FRPGames didn't have all of the minis/quantities I wanted.
