Eclavdra is an iconic 1E villain, but she doesn't actually provide much of a throughline through the G and D modules unless the DM does a lot of work to make it so, and she provides zero motivation for the theoretical end of the series, taking on Lolth in Q1, a goddess that Eclavdra explicitly opposes.But a villain with an actionable master plan is a lot better than laying out a sandbox or a situation and the designers just crossing their fingers, as so often has happened over the years.</blockquote>
