Where's the Wizards .PDF library??

Am I out of touch? Have they taken it down? I just went over to see about buying the 1st edition rulebook, and I can't find the .PDF section anywhere. Could someone either provide me with a link, or just tell me "It's not there, stupid, they took it down months ago. Pay attention."

Thanks! I know I read that somewhere. I just completely forgot it.

Arrgh... I don't think they have the book I'm looking for. I need the red basic book, and I don't think it's the one here with the Elmore cover: http://store5.yimg.com/I/svgames-store_1713_34503712

Isn't there a different red basic book, with simpler art and a grimier, cooler old-school feel? I don't think they sell it there. Grargh.

Yes, the Moldvay edition -- one previous to the Elmore-cover set, but after the blue Holmes edition. Red, with the magic-user and fighter fighting the dragon. It came in the "pink" boxed Basic set.

Try eBay (unless there's something specific you want to know, in which case I've got mine right here ... :) ).

You're looking for the earlier red-book edition - it was a single book (the later one split it into Player & DM books) with an Erol Otus picture of a spear-weilding fighter attacking a green dragon rising up out of a dungeon waterway.

I don't know how much difference there was in the actual rules, though. It's a pity that they don't have the Rules Cyclopedia hardcover up there, because that's got Basic through Master...

Yeah. The Cyclopedia was cool. Our group even went back and played D&D for awhile because of that release. Was cool runnign around Threshold, Specularum and other places again.
