Now that 3.5e has been out for a while, we've had a chance to try out the classes with all the new modifications. Which class have you found to turn out the most powerful in your game?

With the modifications to Shapechange which has become the Haste of 3.5, high-level sorcerers/wizards are nigh unstoppable.

Extraordinary AND Supernatural abilities?

Bards. All the other classes attack you and place you on defense, when Bards attack they do it in ways you will never realize. It's over before it begins.

Voted for Cleric, as they are powerful throughout all levels, altho Wizards/Sorcerers are the most powerful in higher levels.

My vote is still for the cleric, provided he utilized more for heavy offense and defense rather than just the party healer...

A'koss.

I think that they can all be "the most powerful" depending on how they are played. To sort of steal the idea of Crothian talking about how Bards will attack you in ways you never imagined...anyone who thinks outside the box and attacks in ways you don't typically expect is pretty powerful.

Yes, but you can't compare that. Sure a character can be more powerful, even if a member of a less powerful class, but the class itself is neutral in that context. You should assume that every class is utilized in the best and most imaginative way and then think about which one would be the best base for a powerful character.
