I believe that's just called a multiclassed wizard/expert. I'm not a fan of umpteen core classes, so this comes with a grain of salt, but it seems to me that most of these concepts are already dealt with. Archivist: Wizard with different flavor. Battle sorcerer/duskblade/mageblade: Isn't the swordmage supposed to take up this slot? Beguiler/spellthief: Multiclassed wizard/rogue with specialized spell selection. We know that multiclassing spellcasters will suck less in 4e. Dread Necromancer Wizard with specialized spell selection. Honestly, we don't even know how the wizard is going to work in 4e, so it's possible that we'll get super-specialization. (I'd love to see that, FWIW; the dread necromancer and warmage were IMO much better takes on specialist casters than the school-specialists of core 3e.) Favored soul: Just a cleric with a different spellcasting mechanic, which is probably going away in 4e anyway (no sorcerer suggests to me no spontaneous casting). Healer: Hopefully irrelevant given that all PCs get self-healing capability and the cleric and warlord both boost that. Knight: Thought the fighter and paladin already killed him and took his stuff. My guess is that the knight is probably easily re-created using the 4e fighter and paladin. Ninja: Mang, it's 2007 already. Anyway, isn't this just a rogue with a Japanese name? Witch: Probably easy enough to build using a wizard by a different name. IMO, the oddities are the artificer, binder, dragon shaman, spirit shaman, and {insert shapeshifter class name here}. All of those are geared around sets of mechanics that don't seem to be contemplated for the PHB1.
