who you are . . . You know the old saying opinions are like . . . It really doesn't matter who either of us are, only that we each have opinions and that each is just as valid/misguided as anybody elses. IMHO there are a lot of very powerfull unbalanced feats and PrC's in the splat books. having said that, there are problems with the quentissintial books, and I suspect with green rownin as well (though I admit I haven't seen their stuff yet). case and point: toughness from the PHB +3 hp. perhaps on the weak side for a feat, but for some classes it's a big boost, one that stacks and can be taken over and over again. Now enter dwarves tougness +6hp, giants toughness +9hp and dragon's toughness +12hp. IMO it's getting obserd, why not go all the way and add Deitys toughness +20 hp and go ahead and give yourself max hp at the same time. that's the direction it's headed and I don't like it. But, that's just MY opinion. Now lets look at the monk- EVERY save is favored. at high level they have spell resistance, poison imuneity etc. sure they cant wear armor or use many weapons but this is further offset by adding DEX to WIS for AC adjustment, and fists & feet that can go up to d20 for damage, lets not forget the leap of the clouds and inhanced movement - sound broken yet. If you want to run an eastern campaign then monk have their place. I just feel that they are "misplaced" in the west. Now I have not attacked you personally or questioned your "judgement" obviously we have differn't opinions and styles of play. And you obviously don't know who I am either. So let me tell you, I have been playing or running this game for 23 years now, so I think I have a pretty good idea of how to play and run this game.
