Which fantasy TRPGs do you think truly reflect the characteristics of firearms as Game Changers?
I haven't been following D&D and most TRPGs for many years, I am currently focusing on WH40K. I don't know if there have been any new TRPGs in recent years that emphasize the worldview of 'modern guns and magic'. yes, there were many TRPGs such as Modern d20(oh……) and Pathfinder RPG (I perfer this one, especially that Ultimate Combat) that had rules about firearms and gunfighting, but they were generally too weak to demonstrate the overwhelming advantage of firearms, especially those modern firearms. Modern firearms (rather than muskets) are the true Game Changers, changing the worldview and combat style of the entire game. They have a range of thousands of feet, can easily penetrate most armor and shields, can cause terrible damage, and effectively narrow the gap between low-level characters and high-level characters/powerful fantasy creatures——————a large group of Level 1 warriors equipped with automatic rifles and RPGs can still kill a great wyrm. In the TRPG which truly reflects the advantages of modern firearms, there is no balance between cold weapons and firearms——————there are no needs to balance them, swords are simply outdated, and the spellcasters must also adapt to the changes of generations and they surely can. This is an era of guns and magic, where everyone has started using firearms to fight. you may see a Balor wielding a gatling cannon and a Pit Fiend wielding a flamethrower, and dragons install hard points on their wings to equip RPGs and even missiles. Does such game exist now?
