Wether it is 4th edition or 3rd or anything before. And it would be a terible decision to change that course now. There are people however who are not either satisfied with whatever they are playing, or not open minded enough to try out something new, which could possibly be better than their current edition.I believe Pathfinder and 3.5 were in many parts worse than 3.0 as they are better in different parts. 4e also did some things great.And in the still current playtest rules, there are things from 2nd to 4th edition i recognize, as well as new ideas.Like it or not. Maybe they will create a game that is different enough to justify an investment and still feeling right.If I had the time i could take elements from ADnD and 3rd and 4th edition to create a game I would like more than any current edition.
