D&D 5E Which is better, Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle or Scourge of the Sword Coast?

I'm thinking of buying one of these to help me flesh out the Sword Coast region for a Fifth Edition campaign in a somewhat sandboxy style. Which would you recommend as having more detail on the NPC's, locations, etc. and potential side adventures that can be mined for side quests in the region? Which is a better adventure overall?

If I had to pick one, I'd go with Scourge, but my preference is to use both.

Scourge has nice low level locations that can be recurring locales. I think Scourge detailed Daggerford better.

GotDSC has bigger dungeon locations and high level opponents.

Chronologically GotDSC should happen before SotSC makes sense as written, but with changes you can mix them or just use the locations separately.

Dead in Thay is not very useful as a campaign resource - I would regard it as a campaign ender or mine it for ideas.
