Who Else Has an Autoimmune Disease?

I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which is not nearly as bad as any of the other autoimmune diseases stated so far. The only weird thing about my case is I was 25 when it became noticeable, and am male (last I checked). Typically it affects women over the age of 40.

I just watched a TV show where the woman on it (who was 25) had been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease. I'd never heard of it before then.

Heh, neither had I. :)

It's not debilitating, unless left untreated. I just have to take pill every day - that's nothing. I kind of have the sissy disease in the thread.

I was telling a friend the other day that if I get another autoimmune disease that it better be one where the meds come in pill form. I feel like a junkie with all of the time I have to inject myself.

I would be perfectly happy having only to take a single pill to control a disease. I get tired of taking all the ones I have to (on top of the chemo).

I really respect and admire everyone's strength in this thread. I have some early signs of glaucoma (possibly weakening of the optic nerve in my right eye).

I also suffer from sleep apnea. But that's it.
