Who is your favorite Doctor Who?

I should also add, just for comparison purposes, that I like all three of the "modern" Doctors--Eccleston, Tennant, and Smith--better than any of the older-series Doctors.

I have not seen that much of the older Doctors. Most of the DVDs I saw where with John Pertwee, and I liked him, but I think I like the ones with Tom Baker most.

From the new ones, I liked them all. I wished there was more then one season with Ecclestone, but Tennant was definitely fantastic. But currently, Matt Smith is my favorite.

I voted for Christopher Eccleston just because I liked him a lot and he never got a chance to grow into the role. If not him, it would be Tom Baker or Tennant.

While I don't normally like to descend into negativity, I don't see the love for Matt Smith. He, along with the newly inane dialogue, was enough to make me send the disks back to Netflix midway through the episode "Cold Blood", in spite of the awesomeness of Amy.

Paul McGann's audio adventures ar epretty good from the few I've listened to.

My only "issue" with Matt Smith is his age makes the ineteraction with River a bit.....odd at times, but I think that's the point.

While there will always be a large, TARDIS-deep place in my heart for Tom Baker, I voted for Matt Smith. His ability to combine and convey most of the qualities of previous Doctors while still given a distinctive performance, coupled with the uncanny way he can project age, despite being the youngest actor the fill the role, puts him in the top spot for me. Plus, he can do joy-verging-on-mania better than anyone. Including Tennant, who he got that particular trait from.

Smith's aren't my favorite stories. Those are mainly in the Baker and Davison era, with a few from the newer Who (ie all of Moffat's and some of RTD's).
