Well I was thinking, we've created cities, worlds, and settings here on this board. But I've yet to see us create a whole game. So why not now? why limit ourselves to following someone elses rules and regulations on their game when we can create our very own, one that belongs to us? If your reading this and think that this would be a great Idea then go ahead and read the rules and begin posting. And soon we will can have a game that we all create.
Here are the rules: (Borrowed from Mouseeratu's Eryos Thread)
1) You may contribute more than once, but not in a row. You must allow no fewer than three contributions between your last contribution and your next. (Note that this is three contributions, not three posts. People asking for clarification or making other comments don't count.)
2) You may not present a fact that contradicts or "undoes" a previous contribution, though your contribution might (and should) tweak or expand on previous stuff.
3) This should be a usable, functional setting. Please don't post anything goofy or deliberately disruptive or hard to follow-up.
4) All statements should be assumed to pertain to the core races/classes unless stated otherwise.
5) Please quote the contribution prior to yours, so there's no confusion as to where things stood when you posted. (In case multiple people post at once, or that sort of thing.) In the case of confusion, simultaneous or contradictory posts, or contributions that appear disruptive, I--as the lovable instigator of this mess--reserve the right of final judgment.
6) What ever your post deals with please Title your post for that that, ie Game Mechanics (rules and Operations), Settings (Locations and places of note), Races (For PC race attributes/talents/whatever else), Class (Information on a particular Class), whatever else you can come up with.
7) I will moniter and record from this thread daily and will provide a full record periodically to help keep everyone on the same page, I will give a 2 day notice prior to doing this so that everyone knows that the full Transcript is coming so that they may or maynot see post after that post listed in the Transcript.
8) Have Fun, this is not a test. And please don't berate others for ideas you don't agree with.
Ok so to begin with we have to have a style/theme to the game, I'll provide that...
Its a Sci-fi setting where fantasy weapons and races/monsters exist, think Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings. Flying cars and massive skyscrapers mingle with Dragons and Wizards. Technology and magic are intermixed. You can just as easily find a laser pistol as you can a longsword and sheild. (and please no Lightsabers
)
