Josef made his way to Swampstop (hoping to get to Westron and then Thricia) when he signed up with a recruiter for the Crown of Gothnaius rather than being rounded up by the infamously corrupt town guard of Swampstop and sent off to war.Josef is the quiet and weaselly one.&nbsp; He is not a bad person, but he looks out for himself first, and his “friends” second.&nbsp; This does not mean he’d abandon someone to their death, but he’d have to weigh the consequences before taking any altruistic action.&nbsp; Josef was asked to join the group by Finn who thought his “sneaky” skills might be useful in avoiding capture if he and the others decided to flee Gothanius.&nbsp; He is definitely the outsider of the group.</blockquote>
