Hi guys

I was browsing through a few websites (including ENworld) and I found out that lots of dragolance books that would be published by Soverign are overdue!!!!!

Does anyone know why this is happening?
Is there a new schedule?

please help a dragonlance fan here!!!!

I'm here waiting as well...I believe it has something to do with having to bounce copyrights past Wizards, not sure on that though. It apparently is taking more time than they anticipated.

Could be a couple of things.

One is the whole license issue.

The next is big eyes. "Yeah, we can handle the RPG, the novels, and Soverign Stone and it's RPG and novels with no problem."

the books have been greatly delayed due to a number of reasons. first, the company is down to basically Margaret, Jamie and Renee. Second, they severed ties with FFE for distribution. third, there were issues in getting the books to the printers.

As it stands, currently both Key of Destiny and The Bestiary of Krynn are at printers, with KoD set to come out 'soon', and the bestiary still planned for march/april.

and it's nice to know that people connect me with DL =)

It cannot have anything to do with the whole licence stuff, since they've already printed the "age of mortals", as a soverign press product. If they didnt have the license yet, they wouldn't be able to do that, so I guess it has something to do with what Talinthas said.

It appears so that Kod and the Bestiary are coming soon......any schedule for the other produtcs, like the Towers of High Sorcery

I'll check dragonlance.com for more details (and post here if there are any news)

but, since we are talking about dragonlance here, and the 3rd edition books are going to take a while to hit the shelves, I was woundering if you guys could suggest me a few good source books(not novels) about the setting. I always like Dragonlance, but only started reading it when the 3rd edition came out, so I guess I lost a lot of good stuff that werer published back in the 2nd edition days

Thanks everyone!

cheers

Read the Chronicles and Legends series first as they set the tone and background to the setting. Then Dragons of Summer Flame, Spirit of the Winds, Dragons of a New Age trilogy, Dhamon Saga, and the War of Souls trilogy.

Its a hefty read but worth it.

I'm doing this already
Just finished the chronicals, and starting the legends tomorow

But besides novels, I was looking foward to the names of a few good sourcebooks too :)
