Maybe plot armor is why that 8-point axe hit didn't kill you, but if you couldn't look down and <em>see</em> some physical injury that corresponded to the impact of a weapon, then you wouldn't know that you needed a poultice or a healing potion or whatever to recover from it. You'd have fighters walking around with 3/50 hit points, thinking that they're just fine.</p></blockquote><p></p>
