So we had to reschedule our most recent in-person game (was supposed to be this past Sunday the 9th) because I (the DM) had the flu and another player got COVID and it got me thinking about the various reasons why a session might be cancelled/rescheduled. In my case, re-scheduled because we determine our next game session date at the end of each session (none of us having a set enough schedule to have a set repeating weekly, biweekly, etc. . .game day). I assume that other groups who do have a set game day are more likely to just skip until the next one comes around than to try to find a different day or time to make it up (but maybe not). Hopefully, we will be gathering again on the evening of Friday the 28th. So in the spirit of threads about how your last session went, or what your most recent TTRPG purchases might be, I started this thread where you can post the reason why the most recent session didn't pan out. You can vote in the poll as much a you want, as we keep a rolling record of why the game didn't happen this week. In my 42 years of playing, I have had a wide swath of reasons come up, including deaths in the family, trips to the ER, sudden job or travel opportunities, calendar mix ups, and when I was still a tween and teenager, because someone got grounded and couldn't come over. So why did you have to cancel/reschedule your most recent session? Haven't had to do so recently? Don't worry, chances are one will come up soon enough, just bookmark this thread for when you do. ;) Oh and for the purposes of this poll choices (Todd is that guy, you know the one).
