This sort of thing is why I've removed alignment from my campaigns. too many people seem to think that being evil means "kick a puppy every morning before going out to destroy the world". in my current campaing we have the following Samurai: Deeply honor bound, if he had to have an alignment it would be LN leaning towards LG Monk: Devoted to the quest for enligntnment, LG leaning LN Barbarian: Fights for the sake of fighting, but is honorable in his own way CN leaning CG Rogue: the only non-human in the group, only acts when there is a concrete reward in it for him, TN with some NG leanings Ninja: Out for himself first, all others 3rd. TN leaning NE Other evil characters in the past have been: Priestess of Set: very much NE leaning CE, worshiped evil because it gave her power... did evil because she got a kick out of it, but still knew when behave. (her character was replaced by the ninja) Warlock (pre-Complete Arcane from the Swashbuckiling Handbook): a tiefling, he was always seeking more power. He stayed with the group because they always seemed to get into situations that got him more power. (from a previous campaing featuring a LG knight, NG fighter and rogue) Fallen Paladin-Blackguard: betrayed by his god for seeking to stop a great evil without dying in the process, he served his new master (a fallen angel with a similar background) unquestioningly. LE all the way. (in the same party as the Warlock) I've found that an evil PC can get along with a group of good PCs as long as both sides are not locked into their alignment.
