Why is EN2 Slower Than My Grandmother Waking Up in the Morning?

Seriously, something must be done. Whether I try to access the site at work or at home, there is always serious lag. I have loved EN World for many years and do not wish to travel elsewhere for my D&D and other gaming news and forum posting, but the inconvenience of having to wait so long just to load a page is becoming bothersome. On occasion, I won't be able to load a page for 10-15 minutes. I know it isn't my connection, because the rest of the web flies and I have the same problem both at home, and at work.

I trust something is being done about this. Is there an ETA on when we can expect some changes? I hate to complain. But I liked the old EN World just the way it was. Slowing everything down to a relative crawl just to add some new bells and whistles doesn't exactly seem worth it.

We need a complete server rebuild - the core operating system, a new hard drive, etc. Google Analytics indicates it's not actually slower than before the upgrade - we had severe problems then (in fact, for two weeks after the upgrade, the server was speeding along incredbly fast).

We're working on it. Finances and physical distance from the server make it hard.
