Shame, shame (OT) This is OT, but I felt the need to throw a shame, shame out to anyone who thinks to venomously attack those who have a different opinion than he does. I even voted on one of the previous polls (on this board), how nice everyone was here. The very next day I see an inferno erupt (at least four different threads were being torched). I understand that it is sometimes frustrating to comprehend another's opinion (my oldest daughter is going to break me yet), but it doesn't mean that hostilities are needed. Please, you are not bringing the image of this board higher by striking violently at a differing opinion (especially at people with under 20 posts to their credit - which is what most of these flames seem to be). I am not looking for a response and am not trying to be "holier than thou", but I am hoping that some of these responses are just reflex reactions (or attempts at humor) and that in the future we can try to make the EN Boards a welcome place for newbies as well as veterans. On topic, I also have DDg, and am not sure if I will purchase ELH. With that in mind, I am obviously overjoyed at not being required to have both. I can understand eXodus' frustration, especially if you are using a setting that incorporates a pantheon from DDg. Retrofitting for an entire pantheon is a lot of work. On the other hand, since the books are already out, you are not going to be able to change it in this case. Do you want them to change their policiy in the future? Whatever your answer, just keep in mind that you may someday only wish to shell out for one piece and not the whole pie. Some of the posts in this thread have suggested some good ideas, and it may be worth looking into whether or not (barring a few feats and items) deities do indeed stack up againts epics. Just my morning rant - thank you for your time.
