I feel like the DM has to be taking pretty great strides to make a Fey creature in 5E hate the Druid wielding a metal shield, but be perfectly buddy-buddy with the Elven Nature Cleric, or the Elven Oath of the Ancients Paladin, wielding their metal shield while wearing full plate.</blockquote>
