I don't frequent ENWorld as much so I don't know if you can give laugh points but take one if they do - if not I'd even give you one for the other board.

You are kidding right? The 30+ demographic has more disposable cash than the 18-25? With kids, mortgage, car payments, bills etc.? There's a reason that entertainment caters to that age bracket and not to mine. They spend all the money.

Those 18-25 year olds with older unreliable cars, college tuition, poor jobs, rent, credit card payments, etc....I don't see your argument. Older people have more disposable income because they generally have more established jobs and a "stable" lifestyle.

However, I have no disagreement that younger people spend more money. They tend to be more likely to impulse buy. Economic studies show that. I would argue you have the wisdom to purchase your gaming products with more scrutiny. As an older gamer myself, I buy what I need not what I want.

No, -we- are WoTC's demographic. I don't know who they're targetingt this stuff after. It doesn't really make any sense to me.
Perhaps the younger demographics are more lucrative markets than us old farts, and this is a step to target them?

Considering the level of vitriol in this thread I'm closing it for now.

We may re-open it later after people have cooled down a little, but the behaviour of some people in this thread has been appalling.
