The published account of Suzie's testimony at Tuesday's trial has now harmed that woman's reputation and rumor has it that Adair's schemes have now driven a wedge into the marriage of the Lone Star's owners. Poker dealer Nick Karp and faro dealer Bob Skull have also been up to something devious but she isn't sure exactly what. Evan, Susie and Kitty are taking great delight in this but Jane sees it as evil and cruel.
