April 20, 1881The Promise City Herald publishes a story about the “Fremont Street Shootout” on the 17th and dubs the group of participants as “Arcade’s Gang”. April 21, 1881Arcade’s Gang meets with Apache Chief Geronimo who assigns an Indian centaur named Qualtaqa to them as the Apache Ambassador.  Louie kills Chris Fargo in self-defense in the “Shootout at the El Parador Cantina”. April 24, 1881The Promise City Herald prints a follow-up story with misleading information as well as a threat of revenge by “Fremont Street Shootout” survivor Cleatus James.  Arcade’s Gang threatens the life of the newspaper’s publisher.June, 1881The railroad line being built between Tombstone and Promise City ceased construction.   The Liberty Hill Mine struck a very profitable silver vein.June 6, 1881Crane and Head are killed in the Hachita Mountains of New Mexico by Virgil and Wyatt Earp. July 1881Tom moves out to Tombstone, Arizona Territory for health reasons, leaving Kate, behind.The Bisbee-Tombstone Stagecoach is robbed.The Promise City ShootoutPatrick “Red” O’Brien, Jake’s mentor sets up shop at the Water Hole Saloon in Tucson. He masquerades as Cornelius Van Horne and a bartender, each a part owner with Red. He uses the saloon as a base of operations while cheating the area poker games.July 5, 1881Fisk sells some land to Flint Greymountain, a dwarf, and his human mining partner, Peter K. Grammer.July 13, 1881William Bonney aka Billy the Kid shot and killed Sheriff Pat Garrett in Fort Sumner, New Mexico Territory.July 19, 1881The James Gang robs the First Bank of Albuquerque, New Mexico Territory.  Two guards are killed. July 29, 1881The Promise City Herald prints a story speculating that the James Gang and Billy the Kid may be heading towards Promise City. Manuel Gonzales offers to apprentice Morgana in the use of magic. July 30, 1881Arcade’s Gang meets with Deputy Sheriff Colin Hunter and U.S. Federal Agents James T. West and Artimis Gordon to talk about the James Gang and their new ally, safecracker Mae Clarke. July 31, 1881Morgana auditions for Evan Adair at the Palace Saloon. Arcade and Louie attempt to watch the audition but are denied admittance due to Louie’s race. August 1, 1881Morgana returns to the Palace Saloon wearing Indian attire to discuss a job and is denied admittance. The James Gang and Billy the Kid arrive in Promise City. They successfully rob the house safes belonging to Elton Hubbard and the Condon Brothers. Half of the outlaws head to Conrad’s Booth’s house while the others rob Cook’s General Store and the First National Bank. Booth’s house becomes the site of the Promise City Shootout of 1881, where Arcade’s Gang kills Billy the Kid, Bob Ford, Charlie Ford and Cleatus James. Arcade’s ogre ally Kentucky ‘Shotgun’ Krugg is also killed.October 1881Kate receives a telegram from Tom, asking her to move out to Arizona. Tom is stabbed to death after a card game. A friend of Tom’s who was at the game, Colby Tucker, finds the body. Pedro Figueres, proprietor of the El Parador, gives an alibi for the group to Wyatt. Manuel, Pedro's grandfather, uses magic to disguise Chow and Nanuet.8:30 AM: Katherine and Ruby go to see Chumbley at the Alhambra Saloon. The women pin the blame for the shootout on Arcade’s Gang. They meet Silver Jake Cook.9:00 AM: Katherine, Ruby, Jake, Nanuet, and Chow meet up at the El Parador. Nanuet takes some Spanish and shooting lessons from Pedro, while Chow roams the town looking for people to aid.Evening: Ruby, Katherine, and Jake head over to the Lone Star for Ruby’s audition as a singer. Ruby is hired and Jake loses some money to Kane. Al and Black Isaac return to Promise City to break Isaac’s friend out of jail. The three hole up in a rustler’s hideout in the hills.January 3, 1882Duncan leaves Promise City for Tucson to heal his injuries. Chow complains about Charlie Wong pushing his daughter at Chow. Ruby has a good first day singing at the Lone Star, but Jake loses more money at poker.January 4, 1882Chow leaves town. Nanuet continues his lessons. Ruby gains in popularity. Katherine takes a job at the Lone Star as a waitress/piano player. Jake’s losing streak continues.</blockquote>
