Deputy Marshall Morgan Earp takes witness statements from Kate and Ruby. Earp pales when he realizes who Kate is. Kane goes to jail. Nanuet has a dream about Storm.January 6, 18829:30 AM: Jake, Ruby, Kate and Nanuet have breakfast at the El Parador. Jake and Ruby go looking for information regarding Tom’s death.10:00 AM: Jake gets an orientation at Condon’s Bank. A man from Jake’s past, Danby “Scarface” Jones, tries to enlist his help with robbing the bank. Al and Chumbley ride from Galeyville to Promise City. Nanuet, Kate, and Ruby buy food and books from Judge Lacey for Kane. Lacey takes a shine to Ruby.Morning: Kate, Ruby, and Nanuet visit Kane in the Marshall’s jail and drop off the books and food. Al rejoins the group at the jail. Ben Cartwright and his sons Adam, Hoss, and Little Joe show up at the office looking to help with cattle that were stolen from them. Kate, Ruby, Nanuet, and Al buy horses for Nanuet and Jake.12:00 PM: Al, Flint, Kate and Nanuet go out to Flint’s land. They investigate Pete’s death and come to the conclusion that cattle rustlers did it.Afternoon: Ruby tries to dig out anything Chumbley knows about Tom’s death, but he points her in the direction of James Earp, brother to Morgan and Wyatt. Kate gets the idea of owning a ranch some day. Nanuet helps the Cartwrights track their stolen cattle.Apache Indians capture the group. Geronimo appears before them. He recognizes the Cartwrights as friends of the Apaches and offers to help Ben with his memory problems. The chief reveals what he knows about the stolen cattle. He asks that a friend of the Apaches who was in league with the rustlers, Harvey Knowles, be returned to them. Nanuet is named an ambassador of the Apache people. The Apache shaman, Kajika, casts a spell on Nanuet to erase him from the memory of most people. He is given a healing necklace.A group of miners, Torvald MacNaulty, Seawell, Ralph Elliott, and Humphrey Lewis, strike silver in the mountains near Promise City.3:00 PM: Ruby starts drinking in the common room of the El Parador, while waiting for Jake.4:00 PM: Juan Gomez hits on Ruby. Jake arrives and rescues her from the attentions of Juan. He takes her to the local church, where the alcohol in her system is transferred to a glass globe. The priest, Thomas Valdez, advises them to bury the globe so it won’t be broken.Sunset: Jake buries the globe in the desert. He and Ruby find Parker Baxter, publisher of the Promise City Herald. They try to get information from him about Tom’s death. Kate, Al, and Nanuet rejoin the party.Dinnertime: Ruby falls into the clutches of Juan again, but Kate comes to her aid. Jake meets with Jones and tells him off. Al and Nanuet try to get rooms at the El Parador, but it is full. Kate has to tell Ruby about Nanuet, since she has forgotten about him due to the Apache spell. With Ruby’s urging, Kate decides to ease her mourning of Tom. Jake visits Kane in jail and agrees to sit in for Kane at the Lone Star’s poker table. Manuel offers to teach Ruby and Kate magic.7:30 PM: Ruby, Kate, and Jake go to work at the Lone Star.9:30 PM: Ruby tries to cheer Kate up, but it backfires. Kate rushes to the stables to calm down.10:00 PM: Two men rob the tip jar. Maggie finds Kate. Nanuet joins up with the women and they return to the Lone Star. Nanuet and Jake catch the thieves and retrieve the stolen money.11:30 PM: Lacey pitches woo at Ruby. He makes a lunch date with her for Sunday.January 7, 18826:00 AM: Jake, Al, Flint, Kate, Nanuet, and Ruby ride out to the cattle rustlers’ hideout.8:00 AM: Jake, Kate, Nanuet, and Ruby bluff their way into the hideout.  Jake is mistaken for Deadeye Douglas. Ruby finds a piccolo and a bell. The group gets into a gunfight, killing Curley Bill Brocius, Tom McLaury, and Frank McLaury. They capture Knowles. Jakes grabs Johnny Ringo’s duster. Flint, Al, the Cartwrights, Heath Barkley, and Nick Barkley kill more rustlers and blow the hideout to pieces. Kate rescues a library and Consuela’s jewelry case. Jake and Ruby find some foreign money.  The miners load their wagon with silver ore.  MacCluskey and his party land in San Francisco.  Beauregard Aloysius Dodge leaves his plantation in South Carolina for a hunt in the Arizona Territory12:00 PM: Knowles is released to the Apaches. Al leaves for parts unknown, while the rest head for Galeyville with the stolen cattle.  Carlos Wyman, a half-elf wizard, General Antonio Jose de Sucre, a wood elf, Simon Bolivar, a half-elf, and William Miller, a human, rent rooms in Guaymas, Mexico.2:00 PM: The group reaches Flint’s claim. He decides to take up ranching. Kate, Nanuet, Ruby, Jake, and Adam Cartwright ride back to Promise City. The other Cartwrights and the Barkleys ride back to the Lazy S Ranch.  The books are delivered to Manuel. Adam and Nanuet stop by the Sheriff’s office to talk about the rustlers. Nanuet discovers there is a bounty out on Curley Bill in Texas. Fortunately, Irby Cole, a bounty hunter, is in town.Afternoon: The miners finish loading the wagon and take a rest.  Ruby rides out of town. Kate searches for her, but comes up empty. Ruby has second thoughts and returns. Jake, Nanuet, Kate, and Ruby are introduced to Conrad Booth.3:00 PM: Ruby and Kate bathe at Gilson’s Bath House. Kate dreams of settling down. Ruby has nightmares. Nanuet has a vision in the church grove.  Elliott and Lewis drive the wagon to town.  The Cartwights and the Barkleys reach the Lazy S Ranch.  Marshall Wyatt Earp shoots Dudley Yeats, owner of the Trail Dust Saloon, when Yeats pulls a gun on him. Yeats owes money to the Promise City Merchants' Association.6:00 PM: Ruby, Kate, and Sanoma Figueres, Pedro and Dorita’s daughter, begin their magic lessons with Manuel.  Buffalo Bill Cody and P.T. Barnum have dinner in St. Louis, Missouri.  Nanuet and Jake have drinks with Little Joe and Hoss.7:15 PM: The three women end the lesson and meet up with the men.7:30 PM: Hoss goes to fetch Adam. Jake, Katherine, Ruby and Little Joe go to the Lone Star for dinner. Nanuet gives flowers to Sanoma. Jake teaches Ruby about poker. Kate speaks with Maggie about the Lone Star.  Jake sits in for Kane, Ruby sings, Kate plays the piano.Evening: Ruby has a drink with Mr. Van Horne. Jake goes to the Drover’s Hotel in search of a Wells Fargo stagecoach driver. Tom Whipple ogles Kate. 10:00 PM: The miners’ wagon crashes, breaking the green globe. Ruby gets hit with psychic backlash and chews out Whipple. She takes Kate to the Palace. Evan Adair offers Kate and Ruby jobs as prostitutes. Ruby tells him off and Kate throws a drink in his face. Ruby’s gun is confiscated.  Jake, Grant Keebler, Samson Hill, and Will Hickey from the El Parador help the miners out. Nanuet begins his clerical training with Kajika. He gains an animal companion, a wolf named Maska.  Chester arrives in Tombstone on the train from Dodge City.10:30 PM: The wagon with its ore is parked by the El Parador. Chester checks into Big Nose Kate’s Saloon and Grand Hotel. Riley has a late dinner there.12:00 AM: Jake escorts the women back to the El Parador.January 8, 1882After midnight: Jake meets with Elliott to discuss the miners’ problems.Morning: The Whipple’s father, William, their cousin, Teddy, and Teddy’s fiancée Alexis leave Denver by train for Promise City.At Flint’s ranch, Deputy Sheriff Colin Hunter examines the cattle retrieved from the rustlers.7:30 AM: Chester awakes and has breakfast.8:30 AM: Chester buys a stagecoach ticket at the Wells Fargo office. Dorita wakes Jake and Ruby.9:00 AM: Ruby takes a raincheck on lunch with Lacey.10:30 AM: Kate wakes up and takes a bath.11:00 AM: Jake, Ruby, Vera Blake, the saloonkeeper at the Drover’s hotel, and Hans Josef Zikmund, a salesman with the Harrisburg Safe Company, take the stage to Tombstone.12:00 PM: Kate has a conversation with Maggie about Whipple. Maggie reveals that Whipple is not her husband, but her brother.12:15 PM: The stagecoach reaches Tombstone. Jake and Ruby go to the Oriental Saloon to talk with James Earp about Tom. Jake finds out his coat once belonged to Johnny Ringo. Chester has lunch at the Oriental.Afternoon: Kate visits Manuel and Sanoma to continue her lessons. Ruby and Jake talk with Big Nose Kate about Tom. She mentions Tucker.1:30 PM: Chester gets his bags from the hotel. He sees Ruby and Jake again.1:40 PM: Jake and Ruby sneak out the back and meet up with the coach.2:00 PM: Jake, Ruby, Chester, and Riley board the coach back to Promise City.2:30 PM: Riley tells the others that he’s seen them in his dreams. Kate, Nanuet, Sanoma, and Storm also appear in the dreams.4:15 PM: The coach is ambushed by the Cowboy Gang. The drivers, Chuck Nevers and Newton Gilly, get the coach safely to the Lazy S Ranch. The owner, Emery Shaw, invites the group in for dinner. Shaw’s son, Humphrey, and Gilly ride into Promise City for reinforcements. The group eat with Nick and Heath Barkley, and Shaw‘s daughters, Ellen and Trisha.Evening: Nanuet completes his training and goes to the El Parador. He and Kate have dinner together.6:30 PM: Humphrey and Gilly return with help. The coach leaves the ranch with its escort.7:00 PM: Kate visits Kane in jail. Her appearance surprises Morgan Earp. Nanuet and Sanoma talk.8:00 PM: The coach reaches its destination. The Barkleys look for the Cartwrights to warn them. Riley, Chester, Ruby, and Jake enter the El Parador. Jake and Ruby sleep together for the first time.January 9, 1882Morning: Jake meets with Elliott and MacNaulty about their mining contract with Fisk. Chester has breakfast and looks for work.Jake and Elliott consult with Mitchell Berg, Fisk’s competitor.Nanuet has breakfast and goes grocery shopping with Sanoma.Midmorning: Ruby awakes. She has lunch and a bath. She apologizes to Lacey.9:45 AM: Jake goes to work at the bank.11:45 AM: Jones takes lunch orders at the bank. Jake talks to Neil Cassidy, owner of the lumberyard. He deposits $300 and learns some things about Berg and Fisk. Jones returns with lunch. Jones goes to buy brushes and paint for the bank. Chester is hired by the Breakheart Mine.Sanoma and Nanuet have a picnic lunch outside of town.Afternoon: Kate awakes and has lunch. She then heads over to the post office. She and Ruby ask Manuel about some of the items they found at the rustlers’ hideout. Ruby asks if he can change the appearance of the coat. Manuel determines that the coat is a Duster of Protection.1:00 PM: Chester begins work at the mine.Nanuet visits Flint at his ranch, now called Pete’s Ranch.3:00 PM: Jones starts painting the interior of the bank.3:45 PM The bank is closed. Jake returns to the El Parador. He talks with Edwin Booth about Fisk. Jake trades in a couple guns he found at the rustlers’ for a Colt .45 at Pierre’s Gunshop and Hardware.Sanoma meets Ruby and Kate in Manuel’s room for their magic lessons.5 PM: Chester leaves the mine for the day. He meets up with Jake and Nanuet at the El Parador. Sanoma, Kate, and Ruby come downstairs for dinner.Early evening: Kate and Ruby have a talk. Kate goes to the Lone Star to talk with Maggie about how to get out of her fake marriage. She mentions possibly the Whipples getting partners in the Lone Star to both Maggie and Whipple. She returns to the El Parador.Elliott and Seawell have dinner at the El Parador. Jake has a talk with them about their mine. The three go to the Long Branch Saloon to negotiate with Fisk about details in the miners’ contract. There, Chumbley hawks his newspapers. Seawell, Jake, and Elliott have Berg draw up an agreement. Jake goes back to the El Parador.Ruby brings food to Kane in jail and gets her gun back. She apologizes to Adair at the Palace, but he doesn’t accept it. Ruby has a drink at the El Parador. Chester finds Riley and brings him back to the El Parador. Ruby takes a nap.Jake, Kate, Chester, and Riley have a chat.7:45 PM: Kate wakes Ruby.8:00 PM: Kate, Chester, Jake, and Ruby go to the Lone Star. Ruby and Kate perform. Jake deals at his table. Chumbley hawks his newspapers. Ruby takes a break and Kate waits tables. Maggie plays the piano.9:00 PM: Kate and Ruby perform again. Jake is winning.10:00 PM: Lieutenant Oscar Gamble, a human sergeant, a half-ogre corporal, a human private, and an ogre private enter the Lone Star. Gamble talks to Whipple. Jake takes a break. Chester eavesdrops on Gamble and Whipple. He leaves before his former sergeant recognizes him. Ruby and Jake make plans.Gamble questions Ruby and Jake about the attempted stagecoach robbery on the 8th.Nanuet teaches Maska some tricks. On his way back to town, he sees Sanoma. They have a late dinner in the outdoors. Then they go back to the El Parador.Jake deals again and continues winning. Ruby captivates the audience with her singing. They finish and have a talk. Zachary Morand asks Jake about the miners’ ore transportation needs.Midnight: Zack, Kate, Jake, and Ruby go to the El Parador. Jake introduces the miners to Zack. They arrange to scout out the route between the mine and town. Jake asks Nanuet to come along.Pinto Joe Weems rides into Galeyville. He hires 20 men, including Billy Claibourne, Frank Leslie, Bob Moody, and Hank Reynolds to capture the miners. The pay is $20.</blockquote>
