Wilding clasp on a robe

IIRC, wilding clasps technically only work on amulets or cloaks. How unbalancing would it be to allow one to work on a robe (specifically a modified robe of the archmage that's wearable by any spellcaster)? If I can get this robe to work while I'm wildshaped, it's easily worth its huge value for me as a 17th-level druid; if not, its benefits are pretty small.

Pretty minor? Like the axtra +5 armor bonus to AC, Spell resistance 18, +4 resistance bonus on all saving throws, +2 enhancement bonus on caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance?

Nah, nothing at all worth anything to a druid in Dire Collosal Ninja Animal Form.

Well, the SR isn't worth much to a 17th-level character (how many enemies will I be facing who face a serious chance of failing their caster level check?); I've already got +2 on saves; and I have armor that gives me +5 and resist lightning 5. The caster level bonus is nice, but it's also very rare that I fail a caster level check. So it's not great.

We also play, however, that all equipment melds in wildshape form (this is something I've argued for as a limit on my character; I just don't like at all the image of a druid as a clothes-wearing monkey). Equipment with wilding clasp melds but remains visible in some form and functional--e.g., a white archmage robe would turn me into an albino animal. And the robe would be really really nice in animal form, even if only for the AC bonus.

I wouldn't say its unbalancing at all. The wilding clasp allows for two items to be kept in wildshape - i can't see it matters which two.

Is it unbalancing to allow 3 or more items to be retained? Probably not. Pre wild shape errata it was down to DM judgement on which items could still be worn based upon form
