Going to Tools --> Internet Options --> General will help you delete these files. Be sure to include the settings for "deleting all offline content."2. YOur recycle bin by default takes up 10% of your hard drive, and does not delete anything until it exceeds this amount. Deleting your recycle bin, or reducing its size on systems with very large hard drives, is not a bad idea.3. Other programs you have installed and removed over time can leave unwanted program code files, called DLL's, in your windows folder, in your program files folder, and in myriad other places. removing these is very risky, unless you know specifically what to look for. Uninstaller programs such as Cleansweep can help, but can occasionally cause you problems if it removes an important file that one of your programs uses. However, uninstalling and reinstalling the affected program can cure these afflictions, if you are willing.I usually reformat by home computer system once a year to clean out garbage I do not need.
