Multiclass rules for spellcaster that work and doesn't require a hundred prestige class to validate which are correct and which aren't.
That's easy, see Elements of magic (or if you prefer, provide two spellcasting advancement, one with memorized spells, the other with spell points, each class provide access to a maximum level of spell available from a specific spell list, i.e a Cleric10/Wiz10 would have access to spell of level 5 of both Wiz and Clr and as many spell as a Wiz 20, that also imply easier acces to metamagic, something like full cost without the feat and reduced with the feat).
Some hopes that the next version of the D&D will have a normal numerotation, and not some crazy software numerotation (after all, there is probably more differences between D&D3 and 3.5 than with AD&D1e and AD&D2e. the only RPG which has a similar stupid numerotation is Cthulhu 5.5, and it is because the text changed but not the rules, really backward compatible).
