This game could be fun. Provided they don't Cyberpunk it. Anyway, the CRPG might be months or years away, but you can play the discursive role-playing game now on an unmodified Modos RPG chassis, with Modos 2 lists. Here is how some of the trailer features are played in Modos RPG, in chronological order:

Silver bastard sword: equipment-type, d8 damage, d10 vs. monsters, close range.
Villager NPC: Concept - a superstitious peasant wearing roughspun clothes and missing a finger, toe, or tooth. Level 2. Attributes (P, M, MP): 11. Skill: 2 points in craftsman (farmer), craftsman (miner), or knowledge (nature). Perks: skill point (detect), stubborn (max mental damage 14).
Witcher medallion: inventory-type. But the PC spends Hero Points for "witcher abilities" like this magic-detector.
Monster hides in fog: power - fog 3. Range: short. Target: multi. Difficulty: -4. Maintainable: yes. Effect: you create a visual disturbance that causes vision-based contests to take a 6 point penalty. The effect is large enough to fill a large chamber or surround multiple people. Half-effect: no defense, but a target can move from the fog.
Monster's trip attack: physical attack, unarmed skill, 1 action. The witcher would have had a physical penalty while hanging upside-down, but she used an action to defend against the trip (and rolled a Pro).
Witcher drinks Cat potion: 2 actions, ready and drink, while monster uses one to move to defensive posture. Special item-type, Ciri gets +8 to Detect.
Witcher uses Aard to block monster bite: normal Pro parry action. PC narrates it as using a sign.
Witcher readies Castlevania wrist-morningstar: 1 action. The item is a short-range weapon, d4 damage (when not channeling Igni).
Witcher dodges monster attack while lassoing monster: Pro attack. The PC reacted with an attack instead of a defense because it meant the monster couldn't react to the lasso, but she paid for it by taking some damage.
Coup de grace: characters don't die for hitting 0 health. But the PC decided that death was in store for the monster, and GM agreed.
Sacrificial villager fails her 3rd death save: just kidding. This ain't D&D.
Use this free edition of Modos 2 (with the Modos RPG catalog in the back) to get started on Witcher 4, or tell us how your DRPG would handle the trailer!
