Witches and spells

So my group is doing a King Maker campaign and our DM advised use all to take the leadership feat as we are only a group of 4 and we will need some of our kingdom places held by NPC's or our followers.

I chose the Witch because she has some pretty sexy debuffs that she does with her hexes.

She is my third "caster" that I have played, the first being a Bard and my second (my main character for above campaign) is a sorcerer.

After reading through the class in the APG I am still at a lose for how to figure out the spells known and the spells per day for her. It makes me feel rather stupid lol.

Let it be known I understand that all spells the Witch can know are carried in her Familiar (mine is a raccoon that is white with black stripes named Bandit).

Now correct me if I am wrong (as I assume I am), but she gets 2 spells per level. I just dont know at what level she gets new level spells. I also just realized last game that if she finds a scroll my witch can take the time to read the scroll to her familiar and teach it to him, thus having the ability to use that spell when she reaches that level.

Any advice on what hexes that are a must have? Along with what feats I should I should pick up? WIth out my character sheet in front of me these are my hexes/feats:
Cackle (a must have for increasing duration)
Evil Eye
Ward
Fly
Misfortune

imp initiative
toughness
extra hes

my table top game has a witch, but she is a good withch with healing type hexes. very nice to be near in case of a pinch. It really depends on your focus. good withch or bad withch. In my opinion a neutral withch seems too balenced as they slways seemed at the extream of beliefs in the stories i have alway read.
 

Spells known: A witch starts out with all 0 level witch spells and 3 first level spells plus spells equal to her Intelligence modifier. At each new witch level she can add two spells but they must be of levels she can cast. Every level you go up as a witch you get to add two spells to her familiar.

Spells per day: Use the chart on page 67 of the APG. So, for example, a first level witch can cast three cantrips and one first level spell. Modify these spells by the chart on page 17 of the Core Rulebook (for example, if the witch has an Intelligence of 15 she can cast one extra first level spell and when she gets high enough to cast second level spells she gets a bonus second level spell also.)
