Suddenly your "amazing" amount of damage is easily countered and doesn't do nearly as much damage as you state.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>So yes the wizard can expend resources and occasionally do more damage. If they have the right spell prepared for the target. But different classes and builds have different roles to play in the game.
