Wizardly Tradition: Digitalogist

Mmmmkay, this is my first post. I'm a beginner DM who's fallen in love with the new 5th edition. My PCs have been having fun in the weird Final Fantasy meets historical/mythological tradition world I've made for them but it's winding down.
I've found @Quickleaf's conversion of Al-Qadim particularly interesting for our next campaign idea and have been doing some researching/ fleshing out classes. Here's one I made for my player who loves playing obnoxiously intelligent gnome characters (let me know what you think?):

Note: I just joined this site so I can't post links but I've taken inspiration from: http://www.supersutter.net/Alcirya/Tools/Classes/Wizard/Kits/Digitalogist.html

Dititalogy Tradition

Level 2 - Numerology: A deep understanding and connection between magic and numbers gives Digitalogists the ability to bend their knowledge to use. The digitalogist gains proficiency with the Arcana and Investigation skills if not already known.
Additionally, when making Arcana or Investigation skill checks having to do with numbers, the digitalogist may replace the roll with a 10. Once this feature has been used, it may not be used again until after a short or long rest.

Level 2 - Codification Specialist: The digitalogist codifies magic through a complex series of formula. While time consuming, this allows the digitalogist to transcend some of the normal boundaries of spell copying confining other wizards.
The digitalogist may copy any wizard spell into their spellbook, regardless of level. The time it takes to record a spell that is higher then they could cast normally is doubled.

Level 6 -High Magic- By forcing magic into a rigid framework made up of numbers and symbols, Digitalogists have learned to break down and codify each and every spell into its particulate elements by tracing magical formulae into the air while casting; increasing the time it takes to cast a spell as well as its potency.
Before taking any action on their turn, the Digitalogist may reduce their movement speed to 0 and forgo any bonus action and/or reaction for the round to methodically calculate a spell's essence and potency. Using their action, they may then cast a spell they know at one higher level for no additional cost (even if slots for that level aren't yet attained). The spell does not take effect until the beginning of their next turn.

Level 10 - Advanced Codification: Using their increasingly complex codified magical formulae, the Digitalogist can now attempt to learn and cast spells of a higher level than he or she would normally be allowed.
The digitalogist may attempt to learn a number of spells up to one spell level above that which he or she is capable of learning equal to their Intelligence modifier (a digitalogist capable of casting a 3rd-level spell normally may memorize a number of 4th-level spells equal to their Intelligence modifier). These higher level spells occupy the spell slots of the highest available spell to the caster (in this case, the 4th-level spell would occupy a slot of one of the caster’s 3rd level spells).
Each time the digitalogist attempts to cast a spell learned this way, they must make a successful Intelligence(investigation - numerology) check (DC = actual spell level x their Intelligence modifier) or the spell fails. If a spell is successfully cast in this way, it does not take effect until the beginning of the digitalogist's next turn.

Level 14 - Infinite Calculation: Knowing the mystical presence and power behind each number, Digitalogists can now calculate the temporal and geographical locations of doorways to other planes.
With every use of the High Magic and Advanced Codification features, there's a cumulative 5% chance the digitalogist casts the spell Gate as a bonus action (for which the duration does not require concentration and ignoring the creature summoning bit).
Once Gate is cast in this way, its percent chance of being cast returns to 5%.

I'm sure the wording can be worked on and the power level may be off so fire away, criticism welcome.

*EDIT* Fixed some grammatical errors.
