D&D General Wizards of the Coast releases Outdoor Geomorphs Set 1 - Walled City PDF on DriveThruRPG

Wizards of the Coast has just put up Outdoor Geomorphs Set 1 - Walled City for sale as a PDF for $3.95 on DriveThruRPG.

Originally released in 1977, this is tagged as being for Original D&D (1974) and the Holmes Basic Set (1977). As noted on this product's page on The Acaeum, the planned second and third sets were never published. The Acaeum page also makes an interesting observation:

Interestingly, Outdoor Geomorphs (along with its cousins the Dungeon Geomorphs) featured sample dungeon sections. As contributor Paul Stormberg notes, "These are classic Gygax ones: secret temples, lost demon gods, weird magic items, never again reproduced monsters, NPC's, etc. There's a listing of city occupations, a hand drawing of the City of Greyhawk (methinks by Gary himself), and a sample section of the City of Greyhawk (the Silvery Mart, Old Gate, Anchor Tavern, Society of Sages, Old Town Barracks, etc), including adventure hooks to the Nyr Dyv. In my opinion, one of the great unnoticed treasures of Greyhawk knowledge.

Recent pay-for-download PDF releases have included Player's Secrets of Muden (for Birthright), The Planescape Conspectus, Midnight on Dagger Alley (AD&D 1E), the AD&D 2E starter set Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Game, and the 3.5 Deluxe Character Sheets. Free releases have included Wrath of the Immortals (BECMI), The Book of Regency (Birthright), Three Dragon Ante, Rob Kuntz's To the City of Brass, and the World of Krynn Trail Map and The Eastern Countries Trail Map (Mystara).

I don't think I'd use them these days but I think that's a better format than the old cardboard style ones. If Im thinking of the same thing. I bought a bunch when they were first released and they were both unwieldy in use. (took too long to sort through and set up, and if someone bumped the table the wrong way or god forbid spilled their beer all the work was for naught), and storage and transport was a PITA as well. Being able to print a bunch, tape them together, use once and destroy, or fold up the scenario and stick it in a folder seems a much better option. On second thought I might check them out.

EDIT: Yeah those are different than the ones I was thinking of.
