So i'm designing a wolf man ranger character by taking a human and applying the feral template to create the claws and beastiness. The concept that fits into the campaign world is, tribes and clans are warring and he is his clans spiritual kind of leader. I'm looking for a class that allows him to "spirit walk" or the like. Maybe a way to access the negative energy plane or something. What Would be a good prestige class for this?

It's a base class, not a prestige class, but you might consider the Spirit Shaman class from Complete Divine.

Added bonus, I think you may be able to from from Spirit Shaman -into- Void Disciple if that's your particular bag.
