The final costume reveal made perfect sense: he really is Wonder Man, and not because of his super powers, but because of the choices he is starting to make. Bulding the story around Simon, such a deeply flawed character, finding his unlikely soulmate in another lost soul made his arc so satisfying for me.Edit: I love how this was set up in the previous episode in the pivotal conversation with his ex: "I hope someday you find someone that you can trust. Someone you can really be yourself with." [SPOILER]That we only finally see him in control of his powers because he is motivated by love, and seeing the first use of flight coming as he embraces Trevor, tying their lives inextricably together even if as fugitives, made me well up. Simon has finally found his person. I found it deeply powerful to see male friendship portrayed in such a visually affirmative way.[/SPOILER]</blockquote>
