Wondrous Items Book Idea

I have been tossing around the idea of writing a PDF book filled with ‘custom’ versions of wondrous items. Following is an example of one item, complete with the format that I’m thinking of using. Do you think this is a cool idea? Would you buy such a book in PDF format if it was for sale in the five dollar range?

Drow Cloak of Elvenkind
Creator: Drow Elf
Appearance: This hooded cloak is constructed from thick, dark grey cloth that feels silky to the touch. Closer examination reveals that it is shot through with a lighter colored thread that forms a spider web-like pattern.
Game Information: When it is worn with the hood drawn up around the head, this cloak gives the wearer a +10 circumstance bonus on Hide checks. When it is worn in an underground setting the bonus is doubled to +20.
Caster Level: 3rd; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, invisibility, creator must be a drow elf; Market Price: ? gp; Weight: 1 lb.
Other Information: Drow spellcasters craft these cloaks and they are often used by assassins and spies. Few make their way to the surface world and they are rarely if ever sold to non-drow.

I do believe there are several in the ballpark PDFs already in existance. The phil reed 101 series for example. Also, you can't ask if $5 is a good price without giving a proposed page count/item count.

Oh, and the more original content the better. If every item is just an Ogre's boots of springing and striding and a Nymph cloak of charisma, it could get tedious.

Otherwise, your idea sounds solid enough assuming you can come up with the ideas and make them interesting to read about.

Good Luck
