Woohoo! ESD for international users!

I think that I know at least one reason why wotc sold their online store to SVgames:
http://www.svgames.com/info.html
they do not have the sales restriction that Hasbro had.

Now people from UK or France will be able to order ESD or any product (yes, people from France weren't able to put any order).

While this is good news, at the same time I should mention that it was possible to order from their online store anyway.

All you needed to do was set up your account showing a US postcode.

For example, I live in the People's Democratic Republic of Singapore... and my Wizards' store account shows the postcode for California. The rest of my address details are correct.

Actually, it was legal. Firstly, Singapore is not listed as a prohibited country. Secondly, this type of purchasing is legal in Singapore.

However, it wasn't ethical! :) And, no, it wasn't for a physical book... that would be illegal (GST is payable in Singapore on such purchases).

As legal as buying ESD from France then;), it wasn't listed among the prohibited country too: the prohibited country were all the country that weren't U.S.A., but were able to order physical book.

I think the problem is that it wasn't legal for WotC to sell their ESD to us, while it was kind of legal for us to buy.

You should have used Nevada. No sales tax. :)

What's ESD, btw ?

Electronic Software Download

Yes it's in french:D do some people need an english translation?
