Waylaid on the road - Round 1 As Hargrim dismounts and taunts the orcs, Zyrial calmly bless the party for the coming fight. Just about the same time Balin waves his wand and a ball of pure force strikes towards the orc who spoke up. Magic missile did 2+1, for a total of 3 damage to orc 1. Grunting from the impact, the lead orc eyes the party menacingly, growls and charge at Hargrim. As the orc close with the sturdy dwarf, its sword connects heavily with Hargrims forehead - it thinks. Just at the last second Hargrim sidesteps and avoids the blow, and the orc grolws in frustration. Only a few seconds later the two remaining orcs close to melee with the dwarf, flanking it from both sides, Hargrim is now almost surrounded by smelly, ugly orcs. They both jab their swords at vital spots trying to penetrate the dwarf, but both are unsuccessful. One orc nearly stumbles with its attack as the others swordblow deflects of the dwarfs chain shirt. Orc 1 charged at Hargrim, but misses. The two remaining orcs each flank Hargrim, they also miss. At this point of the battle it is obvious these are a puny bunch of orcs. Why would three orcs attack a party of four, when they're so obviously overmanned? The answer comes but a split second later, when six more orcs, three to each side of the road, rise from cover and grins menacingly at the party. They were hiding in some bushes about thirty feet away from the road, and are now ready to join the fray. One orc on each side carries bows, the other four morningstars and axes. Initiative: Round 1: 10: Alton Round 2: Zyrial Balin Orc 4, 5 and 6 Hargrim Orc 1, 2 and 3 <Alton> Orc 7, 8 and 9 HP: Orc 1: 3 damage Active spells/feats etc: Bless: +1 bonus on attacks and saves againt fear. Charge: Orc 1 have a -2 to AC untill next turn. [sblock]The six remaining orcs join the battle in round 2, added their "joining" for flavor reasons now. Also, dont worry about posting in the right innitiative, I usually dont do battles round by round in PbP, but try to get it rolling like a continous battle. [/sblock]
