Balin the Elder, Abjur(4) As the ale is placed before him, Balin hands Hargrim one mug and picks up the other two in his free hand. "If you don't mind, bring Zyrial his wine when she finishes pouring it. I am going to make sure that Zyr and Alton have made peace with the locals." Making his way back to the table where the others are huddled around, Balin hands the halfling his tankard of ale and takes a slow sip while looking at the map through his enchanted glasses. Even from the outskirts of the table, the map is clear and precise to his eyes and the nervous glances the townspeople continue to shoot them all tells Balin all he needs to know. Blood and ashes...they want us to defend the whole town? Shal, I was wrong to say the road was just what I needed, this is going to be suicide. Well, if it is to be my death, let me go out well. Moving closer to the map, Balin began looking studying it with a critical eye. Two main roads with three roads connecting them. The river to our backs which will be used to get those who can't fight to safety. The irony is that most would consider me one who could not fight anymore. If the Song wills it, let me prove them wrong. Looking across to Zyr, Balin kept his voice as confident as he could. "So Father Zyrial, does the Silver Song still grant her war songs to the faithful?"
