Wow.

I checked my local library, and they don't have a single one of the books mentioned so far. I guess it's time for a trip to Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

Now if I can just get through this darn Mercedes Lackey book that I'm stuck in the middle of... :)

I take you're also the kind of person who only reads one book at a time and has to finish it before starting something else.

I appreciate that, deeply. I'm proud of the work I did on that book.

No problem, and as I believe I've said before I liked it enough that want to read the other books you've written, but haven't found a publisher for.

Forgot to mention it the first time, but my brother liked it as well.

I'd suggest at least learning the basics of the setting from the rulebooks, if not reading a novel or two, before picking up mine.

O.k. the main rulebook is probably a good idea, I'd say other novels aren't important at all. I, in fact never read any others myself, my only knowledge of the setting is from a handful of rulebooks.

Yeah. If I read more than one at the same time, I tend to read only the better one and neglect the other... then I end up with a mound of half-read books and a pile of guilt for not finishing them.

Great! I've been reading chuncks of the rulebook and the quickplay/demo rules and adventure (for Requiem) and I'm more and more impressed (and surprised) at how well-done they are!

Now I just need to get my hands on these novels!!

I didn't list much Vampire fiction because honestly, it's my least favorite of the WW lines (except for Demon), in terms of both fiction and game material.

That said, I'll say that the "Gehenna" novel was one of my favorite V:TM novels, along with the "Masquerade of the Red Death" trilogy. (And not just 'cause Mouseferatu is lurking around, either!)

I'd also add to my list:
"Such Pain" (novel for "Mage")
"Pomergranates Full and Fine" (Mage/Vampire/Changeling crossover novel)
"Death and Damnation" (Wraith anthology)

To be clear I meant the Masquerade book. You may want to flip through it in a store or find a website that can give you the basics. Though it shouldn't hinder your enjoyment of the story even if you don't.

For games material on the Dancers, try "Book of the Wyrm" (eitehr the orginal or the revised), though I actually enjoy "Susiduaries: A Guide to Pentex" just as much.

For fiction, try "Tribe Novel: BSD". (I believe it's the last of the Tribe Novel series.)
Also, try "The Silver Crown" for a cool BSD villain. (reprinted in "The Quintessential WoD" anthology, IIRC.)
