At this time the Riot on Broadway is our top priority. For your own protection please lock all your doors and windows. If possible find a windowless room and lock yourself in. The situation will be resolved as quickly as possible. Do you understand?"</span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: Blue">[Ethan]</span></p><p></p><p>The view from his peep hole was essentially useless, but being that close, he was close enough to recognize a noise from below. It was a soft cry, a feminine moan, but not nearly something arousing. Soon enough it was joined by another, then a pair of three more, that glass crackling beneath feet.</p><p></p><p>Turning around to check the window, he'd spot something far more interesting, a single line running muted along the bottom of his screen. A public service announcement warning him to avoid Broadway Ave, giving news 650 as a source for updated news.</p><p></p><p>[sblock=ethan]Alright, first off you've got two perception checks one to notice the tv. Which you managed with <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1234025" target="_blank">Two successes</a> </p><p></p><p>The second, notices the moaning from the first floor entrance. Flipping through channels you'd go through the usual, the comedy, the teletoon. A brief flip to an episode of simpsons on global would find news instead, but a recognizable local picture would stop your thumbs.</p><p></p><p>The image was Broadway Ave. The theater there on fire, a car burst through its door on its side, evidently the start of the issue. The reporter was rambling on, a riot occuring, apparently started by a brawl outside Lydia's nightclub, it had erupted into full scale violence for unknown reasons. </p><p></p><p>At least two officers were down, and the fire was spreading as fire crews were as of yet unable to reach the source of the blaze.</p><p></p><p>[sblock=Arell]<a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1234037" target="_blank">One success</a> on a perception check. The guard in question was a rather strange woman, perhaps 100lbs from looking at her, she was a recovering addict, her frame looking as though she could be broken in half with one hand, and, indeed unarmed that was entirely true.</p><p></p><p>While Jim made his way into the store, Adam stopped briefly, caught aback by words snipped from the guards phone conversation, something about damage to the broadway store, and a riot. Curious, he'd join her, the woman covering the mouthpiece to chat. </p><p></p><p><span style="color: Cyan">"Thank god. Can you explain to those..." she paused, glancing around to be certain before speaking "damn asians that they need to call your manager and get him to shut down the store?"</span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: Blue">"Err... why?"</span> Was Adam's quick responce. He knew the two she was talking about. The head office had determined that hiring thier night staff as foreign workers would allow them to hire more english speaking candidates during the day, while keeping their 'equal oppertunity' policies. Unfortunately this had the direct result of litterally half the night crew being impossible to understand.</p><p></p><p><span style="color: Cyan">"My boss is on his way down to the hospital from broadway shoppers. Turns out there is a big riot of people, smashed up the store something fierce, beat the hell out of the staff and roughed up our guard. Police are on their way, but he says that there is a pretty big crowd of rioters headed down 8th street." </span> Came her reply, seeming a bit shaken.
