This is slightly off-topic, but does relate to the above post about the guy who was purporting to be a Navy SEAL. The gist of this is going to be, "I love it when people choke on their own feet." My best friend is a Navy SEAL down in Coronado. I was visiting him one time and he took me to one of the team bars, for a night of rowdiness with him and some of his buddies. Well, in the midst of our revelry, the SEAL's discovered a poser in the crowd. This guy was hitting on some chick, trying to impress her by saying he was a SEAL. So a couple of the guys weaseled their way into the conversation and before long, this guy was telling actual SEAL's that he was one as well. They allowed him to go on for a while, letting him dig this very deep hole for himself. After a while, the conversation steered towards the coveted Trident. The guy was describing it, boasting about how proud he was when he earned it, and one of the SEAL's was like, "Oh, does it look like this?" and pulled his out. Then like 5 other guys were going, "Hey, what do you know, I have one too." It was dark in the bar, but you could literally see the blood draining from this guy's face. If memory serves, he was actually a Marine. But in any case, he soon found himself surrounded by about 7 pissed off frogman. One of the more rational of the gang was like, "I think you need to leave. Now." Oh yeah, that guy was gone. Funny stuff. Wikidogre, where's your cousin stationed? The SEAL community is small and I just wonder if there's an off-hand chance that he was one of the guys I was with that night. Small world and all. Man, after such a lengthy post, I wish I had a GenCon horror story to contribute. But I don't. Sorry. Gaius
