Dwarven wizard is obvious but I also had a half-orc monk, an Elven strength based paladin* and so on.  Sometimes I played to the racial strengths, sometimes I didn't.  Heck, I had a friend with a Dwarven sorcerer in 3.5 when they got a -2 penalty to charisma and no significant benefits. Because it can be fun to play the oddball. The writing is on the wall for the generification of species, personally I think it's kind of too bad. But, the king is dead, long live the king and all that. * they died quickly of course because all my Elven PCs die quickly.</blockquote>
