Actually, it's probably pure coincidence -- I'm sure it was written a while ago and was just posted by the web team.

The last couple of revision spotlights have made reference to "having the books in your hands" even though they weren't released.

Now, if the 3.5 SRD or the conversion document get posted, I'd say they've come to grips with reality.

Original release date was 7-11

You must take in account that the original release date was July 11.

I bet the web schedule was already in place except for the SRD.

Maybe that was the reason for the additional week. To make sure that the SRD would be ready.
