WOTC Minis: which are still being produced?

I was just curious about which of WotC's Miniature ranges were in/out of production and was wondering whether anyone could fill in the holes. Here's the extent of my knowledge:

War of the Dragon Queen - in print!
War Drums - in print
Underdark - ??
Angelfire - ??
Deathknell - ??
Aberration - ??
Giants of Legend - out of print
Archfiends - out of print
Dragoneye - out of print
Harbinger - out of print

Anyone care to fill in the blanks?

Thanks!

Technically, the only set in print right now is Blood War (which is due out in November). WotC produces a fixed quantity of minis for each set prior to that set's release and that's it. There were two exceptions to this: Harbinger and Dragoneye (both of which had additional batches produced).

What you probably want to know is which sets are available for ordering. AFAIK, the answer to that question is Angelfire (though not for much longer), War Drums, and War of the Dragon Queen. Underdark sold out from the distribution channels, though the boosters may still be available from retailers. The others are long gone (although there may still be boosters available for sale in local stores).

In print and available are two different things. As I understand it, for the most part sets are only given one print run (depending on how you count a "run"). There were a few exceptions, like Harbinger starter sets being sent back for another printing. Still, once they finish producing a set, they are usually done producing that set.

Now which ones are sold out of there warehouse is another matter. As I understand it, WotDQ, War Drums, Underdark and Angelfire are still available. Deathknell and back aren't, and prices are higher for those sets.

The two responses above are correct. The only minis (I know for certain) WotC has done a second run on is the Rebel Storm series for Star Wars; though the response about the first two series and second runs sounds correct to me.

Here are the ones that are available through my distributor:

Angel Fire Boosters
Wardrums Starters
Wardrums Boosters
War of the Dragon Queen

You can still get an Aberrations Booster that is attached to the new Players Kit. That said, I don't think that will last as the two are separately shrinkwrapped within the outer shrinkwrap.

I suspect the Wardrums Starters will be around awhile (I don't know if this means additional production runs of the sets) as that is the only way to start the CMG...it has the rules and boosters do not.

Beyond the individual dragons this summer, there is a new basic game (intro to D&D RPG) with minis included scheduled for September.

Thanks,
Rich

Well, I didn't know that! Thanks for the responses, guys. I guess, then, my question should have been 'which are still available through distributers' - which you've answered nicely :D

I wonder how big a print run is?

Thanks!

I doubt it. I probably was just a very large production run (typical of a "base set").

My understanding is that the factories are booked well in advance for the various sets. Squeezing in a last minute production run of a previous set is very trying, and probably more expensive.

Plus it goes against the collectible nature of the game.
Not so much for the base sets. It's somewhat assumed that they will be more common since they have to last until the next base set is released.

A game where a new player can't get what he needs to start playing, or can do so only at a highly inflated price, won't be very successful.
