Message: <blockquote data-quote="wingsandsword" data-source="post: 2956019" data-attributes="member: 14159">The phrase "Star Wars Saga" is a popular phrase used by Lucasfilm to refer to the whole of Star Wars.  There are about 1.4 million google hits for the phrase, and a little googling shows that many Star Wars games of various types have been re-released as a new "Saga Edition" after Episode III to reflect that they now encompasses the whole of Episodes I through VI (Star Wars Chess: Saga Edition, Star Wars Monopoly: Saga Edition, Trivial Pursuit Star Wars: Saga Edition), so it's probably a Lucasfilm marketing strategy with the name to tie it to other Star Wars products, and by unfortunate coincidence just happens to sound similar to a failed gaming system from almost a decade ago.The early word through the grapevine (some message board posts here and at wizards.com from the authors and people who have been in on it, saying what they can through NDA's) is that the "Saga Edition" is essentially a reprint of the Revised Core Rules with errata, maybe a few tweaks and some minor rules changes to reflect things from Episode III, and probably some info on more eras, so no big changes.</blockquote>
