Here is Greg Banage from FFG's "Behind the Curtain" column posted on 10/11/02...
"Pretty exciting news this week. The design team here at FFG developed a setting proposal, called Dawnforge, that made the semifinal round in Wizards of the Coast’s setting search. It was pretty cool to be one of 11 out of 11,000 proposals selected to advance. Sadly, we did not make it to the final round. So, of course, FFG will be publishing Dawnforge instead of Wizards. We’re planning for a GenCon 2003 release, and I figured I’d kick things off by posting the original one-page proposal for the setting. This material is copyright © 2002 Fantasy Flight Publishing, Inc."
For much more just go to the link below. Pretty interesting stuff. Apologies if this news has already been uncovered and I just missed it.

*EDIT: Oh, never mind! I just saw Greg's post in this very same forum. Guess I should look before I post.
