Hey, all. I'm a long-time DM who took a 2 year break after a pretty big burn-out, and now I'm thinking of starting things back up again. I have a couple of players who want to play gestalt characters from Unearthed Arcana, which is cool with me - because I'd like to run a campaign where they characters, at some point around 5th level or so, end up planes-hopping. I'd love to run things like Planescape, and I have most of the old Planescape material, as well as some things I'd like to use from the Manual of the Planes and the Planar Handbook. I love the whole Planescape idea that belief is power, and it's something I thin I could really get my players into. The problem I have here is this - after a long hiatus, I am completely stumped as to how to get things started. The PCs are starting at first level, but the first ideas I have for adventures and the like start at around 5th. I don't just want to dump them on the planes straight away - the players don't have much experience with the planes, and I would like both the players and their characters to know at least a little about where they're going before they get there. Thus, just kicking the starting level to 5th is right out. So I'd love to know if anybody knows of any good 1st-5th level adventures that would help build up a trip to the planes (most likely Sigil), or can point me someplace where I could find some good ideas. Thanks for any help you can provide, and I'm sorry if I placed this in the wrong forum.
